Kylie McKenzie, a second year graduate student in the Human Nutrition program at Drexel University, is our intern for 2017-2018. As an undergraduate, Kylie obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in biology with minors in predictive health and anthropology from Emory University. As a collegiate swimmer, McKenzie earned six All-American honors and four NCAA DIII National Champion team titles. During her time at Emory, McKenzie served as a peer health partner for the Center for the Study of Human Health where she facilitated goal setting around health behaviors for freshman students and collaborated with campus dining to improve healthy options. McKenzie currently serves as the assistant swim coach for the NCAA Division I men’s and women’s swimming and diving program at Drexel. Kylie is a certified personal trainer, Certified Functional Strength Coach, and Cross Fit Level 1 trainer. She aims to inspire a more positive culture around nutrition and health for her athletes as a sports dietitian. In her free time, Kylie enjoys spending time at the beach in Brigantine, NJ, training for triathlons and enjoying new recipes.
